Counseling is a vital component of treatment.  CVRS counseling staff engage patients in individual and group counseling by utilizing Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other techniques.

CVRS maintains collaboration between families, community services, treatment providers and other agencies to ensure quality, comprehensive care.

How Methadone works:

Methadone is a semi-synthetic medication used in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) to help people reduce or quit their use of heroin or other opiates. Methadone fits into the opioid receptors, relieving withdrawal and cravings. A therapeutic dosage of Methadone will not cause euphoria.

Methadone can also block  the effects of other opioids, preventing someone from getting high if they relapse.
